I Remember...

I have been completely addicted to fishing for as long as I can remember.  And I mean as long as I can remember.  I was three years old when I remember catching my first fish on a dock behind my grandparent's best friend's house on Lake Lanier.  I remember the dock, the color of the house and the old Chris Craft that was tied up there.  My Dad and Grandpa smushed a bread ball together on a tiny hook  suspended below a porcupine quill bobber that was attached to a Zebco 202 (a reel that I used into my teen years).  They lowered it into the water and I watched in amazement as the sunfish came out from under the dock and attacked it.  The quill quickly submerged and that was my first hit of dopamine that I can remember experiencing.  I was fascinated by everything having to do with water and fishing for the rest of my life.  I remember riding in the back seat of cars on trips to other places down interstates and country roads and seeing bodies of water and wondering if there were any fish in there.  I still do that.  I have often wondered if I am the only person that has felt this way.  I have lived by the ocean...and IN the ocean.  I have spent the better part of my life in the boat business and on the water every day until recently.  The boat business became too physical at my age and I had to take a desk job; but that hasn't changed my longing for the water.  I still fish two to three days a week and there is never a bad day on the water.  I am content just to be in my boat even if the bite is slow.  I haven't found anyone else who can share this with me.  Am I alone?  If anyone sees this and feels the same, please drop me a line.  I would love to know...
